What is Glampa?
Glampa offers a luxurious off-grid glamping experience, combining the comforts of a modern stay with the beauty of nature. Its more glam than camping and it’s your perfect escape to unwind, recharge, and connect with stunning locations.
Each Site hosts different versions of our custom unique Glampa Pods. You can check them out here. We are inspired by simple repeatable forms and modernist detailing. Built 100% from upcycled shipping containers, we build sustainable, energy efficient accommodation units in stunning locations around Australia.
How do I book a stay at Glampa?
Booking is easy! Simply visit our Booking page on this site (it’s always less expensive to book this way), select your desired location and dates, and follow the steps to complete your reservation. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your booking is complete. You can also book through the major booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Google Hotels.
How many people can each Glampa Pod sleep?
Each Site will host different Pods. Most of our Pods sleep 2 people in a luxurious Queen Bed. 2 Bedroom Pods will sleep 4 adults and in some cases we also have bunk beds for children. Please check relevant Pods at each Site before you book. If you need infant cots, please let us know in advance and we can usually accommodate you.
How do I check-in and check-out?
Glampa uses a seamless self-check-in process. You’ll receive detailed instructions and access codes before your stay. Check-in is from 2 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. Each Pod has digital access locks and your welcome details will include all necessary codes.
What amenities are included?
Each Glampa Pod is equipped with a super comfy bed, TV, Wifi, kitchen essentials, private bathroom facilities, heating, and cooling. Some sites may also include indoor fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor seating, or BBQ areas. Specific amenities are listed on each locations booking page.
What does off-grid mean for Glampa?
Living off-grid at Glampa means being fully self-sufficient and not relying on mains public services. Our off-grid Pods are powered using renewable resources like solar energy, with rainwater tanks providing water and gas bottles for heating. We ensure that the solar batteries are always fully charged, and the filtered rainwater tanks are well-stocked before guests arrive.
To ensure a sustainable experience, certain appliances that are not part of the Glampa setup cannot be used, as they may damage the battery or deplete the power supply, leaving you without electricity. If this is the case, we will specify this in the Welcome Pack.
If we run out of Solar Power, don’t worry. Each Pod is supported by a quiet back up generator which will start and stop automatically.
Tasmania is known for its rain, so our tanks are always well stocked. If there is ever a shortage we will work quickly to refill the tanks.
Are the Glampa Pods wheelchair accessible?
Please check for accessibility statements for each Site. For Sites with 10 or more Pods you will definitely find one that is wheelchair accessible.
How close can I park to the Glampa pod?
Designated parking areas are located within 50-100 meters of each Glampa Pod, and the specific distance will be listed in each Site’s profile. Each parking area is designed to accommodate a maximum of two vehicles per Pod. Please refrain from driving past the designated parking area, even if a trail or track is visible, to preserve the natural environment and maintain the integrity of the Site.
Is Glampa family-friendly?
Yes, Glampa welcomes families! Some Pods are designed to accommodate groups or families with additional sleeping options. Check the capacity and details of each Pod before booking.
Can I bring my pet?
We love pets, but to ensure the safety of local wildlife and maintain a clean environment, not all Glampa locations are pet-friendly. Please check the specific locations pet policy when booking. Some of our locations actively cultivate local wildlife and don’t be surprised if you have relatively tame visitors.
What should I bring with me?
We recommend bringing clothing suitable for outdoor activities, food and drinks, and personal toiletries. We provide all necessary bedding, linen and towels plus basic necessities, but it’s always good to check the details for your chosen Glampa Site.
What is the minimum night booking?
We have a 2 nights stay minimum on most of our stays.
What is your cancellation policy?
